Supply chain management

As a single-source provider, Onpoint provides print on demand supply chain management as a value added service. Onpoint uses a rigorous vendor evaluation process based on Lean Six Sigma methodology. We evaluate and maintain vendor relationships based on key criteria including: financial health, technology and service capabilities, service performance, and product quality, risk management protocol and capital reinvestment. By engaging Onpoint for print on demand, corporate clients can significantly reduce the time and effort associated with print on demand supply chain management.

Cost management

As a single-source provider, Onpoint provides a quarterly cost management methodology to make sure that client costs remain low. Each quarter, Onpoint submits pricing requests to numerous suppliers on our network to make sure that pricing represents current fluctuations in raw material costs, new equipment capabilities, and surplus capacity which may lead to more aggressive pricing.

Onpoint also provides quarterly print analysis services. Each quarter, Onpoint personnel review print orders from the prior quarter. Written recommendations are sent to the client on how changes in the way they purchase print may reduce costs further.

In addition, Onpoint offers clients a low price guarantee. If the client can find comparable units of print at a lower price, and the vendor will sustain that pricing for 90 days, we will beat the competitor’s price by ten percent.

Technology Deployment Services

Onpoint On Demand can help your company deploy print on demand technology. 

We provide comprehensive technology deployment services based on our Onpoint FastTrack Methodology. Our five step process includes the following specialized services: (i) business requirements gathering, (ii) technical documentation development, (iii) scope of work development, (iv) statement of work development, and (v) deployment management.  Onpoint FastTrack can save your company valuable time and money during technology deployment.

Document deployment and catalog setup

Onpoint provides document deployment and catalog setup services for those clients that use Onpoint Print Store. This service focuses on moving client documents into Print Store so the ordering and production process can be automated. Deployment services include online catalog creation, PDF document upload, item-level attribute input, keyword input, and user access definitions and testing.

Template development

Onpoint provides template development services for those clients who require customizable documents. This service focuses on converting common design files (InDesign, Quark, Photoshop) into web-enabled templates, governed by business rules, which can be customized and ordered by end users.

Document Usage Analysis

An important part of print on demand is ongoing document analysis to measure usage patterns and find areas for print optimization and cost reduction. Onpoint provides document usage analysis as part of its overall cost management services. This service is a quarterly analysis of document usage by a client and its constituents. The focus of the service is to determine how a printed document might be set up for the most efficient means of procurement, production, and delivery. Each quarter, an Onpoint analyst will study your document usage reports and build a recommendation for document optimization.

Production design

Occasionally clients need a document designed or edited with traditional desktop publishing technology such as Adobe InDesign, or Quark Xpress.  We offer these services and can support most ad/hoc design request. 

Onpoint charges hourly service fees for production design at a rate of $125.00 per hour.

API documentation and support for systems integration

Onpoint provides comprehensive integration documentation for clients who want to integrate existing systems into Onpoint Connect. Our documentation includes a published application program interface (API), along with guidelines for using the API. In addition, Onpoint provides contract integration services for clients who choose to engage us for management of their integration project.

Service work for integration can vary from basic support to total program management. Service fees vary as well and can range from a few thousand dollars to several thousand dollars based on the client statement of work.
